ABOUT HOLY TRINITY
Located in Dickinson, TX, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church offers parishioners a place of comfort, hope, and peace of mind for all their worshipping needs. We are dedicated to spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ, and our goal is to inspire you through the holiness of our dwelling and our services.
We invite you to become a part of our growing parish family, and look forward to meeting you!
OUR VISION, OUR MISSION, OUR CALLING
At Holy Trinity, we pursue the Glory of God through worship, ministry, giving and education. We strive to connect with Jesus Christ and to each other, in order to magnify His name. At the heart of everything we do is the understanding that we must love God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind, and to treat our neighbors as we wish to be treated ourselves.
OUR LEADERSHIP AND STAFF
The senior warden is the primary elected lay leader of the congregation, and serves as a principal liaison between the parish and the rector. In the case of clerical vacancy (no priest), the senior warden is the leader of the parish. You can contact Shauna with any thoughts or concerns you may have.
Gail has been serving as the organist and choir director for many years. Hearing God's call, she has dedicated her time and talents as a musician and teacher along with an abiding love of Anglican Liturgy to strengthen our worship experience.
Sandi is a dedicated office administrator working to support all of our activities here at Holy Trinity. Her dedication has made an astounding impact at this Church.
The vestry is the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. Vestry members are usually elected at the annual parish meeting. The presiding officer of the vestry is the rector. There are usually two wardens. The senior warden is a support person for the rector and leads the parish between rectors if necessary. The junior warden often has responsibility for church property and buildings. A treasurer and a clerk may be chosen. These officers may or may not be vestry members. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church’s mission by word and deed, to select the rector, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances.
The primary duty of the treasurer is to manage church finances. Members of the congregation trust the church treasurer to exercise good stewardship in managing their hard earned contributions. If you are interested in being part of the finance committee or would like to work on the yearly Stewardship committee, contact Karen.
